BIO:
Coach Michael grew up  in the Bloomington Lacrosse program.  He played on the first middle school, the Outlaw high school team, and in college.  He played long stick middie (LSM).  His father, Jay, was assistant Head Coach for Defense for the middle school and high school teams under Head Coach Scott Blais.  Michael came back in 2019 to be an assistant coach under Sam Hood.  In 2020, he became the fourth head coach for the Bloomington South Boys Lacrosse team.

What was your jersey number?  Number 10 (see link below)

Three words to describe your coaching philosophy?  Family, competition, and energy!

How did you get into lacrosse: My dad was passionate about lacrosse and signed me up for the very first Middle School team in Bloomington.

Best lacrosse memory: Our first Middle School team win.  That year was all about having fun and learning how to play the game but the [win] showed us that our hard work was paying off.

Best coaching memory: Beating North for the inaugural "Big Cat Trophy" (Spring 2022).  I love the rivalry for Bloomington lacrosse.  This win also clinched our first playoff appearance in program history.

Most treasured lacrosse possession: My "Team Player Award" from my senior season.  A coach once told me, "You can be a good teammate long before you can be a good player" and I have always thought to reflect this to the kids I coach.

Favorite high school subject: Math, specifically Finite my Junior Year.
